If you think all the recent press about Facebook's Mark Zuckerberg turning over a new leaf are accurate because they removed the so called "fact checkers" and admitted that they were forced by the previous administration to censor certain topics...you'd be wrong.
I'm not saying that Facebook hasn't done those things but the FACTS show censorship is alive and well. For instance their is a well know Pastor who has been throttled, marked as violating 'community safety standards all as a result of a story, well published in main stream media outlets, that after two years has not had the ding against them reviewed or lifted.
Facebook continues to slap individuals and organizations with labels and violations of community standards, whatever the heck those are, as they are written in such a way they can hammer you for anything if they choose, even when they are simply shared content from another Facebook user that hasn't been hammer for violating their idiotic rules. I have had this happen to me numerous times. How can you slap me when you haven't slapped the person from which the content I shared came from?
Oh, sure, AI is to blame for these absurd "violations" of community standards and unequal application. But hold on a minute...I thought AI was being used...shouldn't the AI be able to apply the slap equally across all of Facebook? After all, it's so smart and fast at whatever it does!
You won't convince me that the originator of the content gets off without ramifications but when I share their content I get the Facebook SLAP is a result of AI...BS! All this nonsense and continuing censorship is a result of individuals or groups, i.e., people, who whine and complain while claiming tolerance yet at increasingly intolerant of those who don't think like they do.
All social media is a trap of epic proportions in that everyone is on one or more of the platforms. If, as a brick & mortar or online company you want to reach anyone you must use one or more of them, traditional methods are loosing their value. When as a self funded registered 501c3 Non Profit you get the proverbial SLAP it effectively renders your reach, whether you deserve it or not, null and void.
Then, as the content below shows, you get to deal with the SCAMMERS & their FAKE accounts. You'd think Facebook would, with AI & all their super genius staffers, get rid of these accounts when you BLOCK & REPORT them. Unfortunately that is not the case, even to the extent when someone impersonates your account, Facebook decides they found nothing to act upon! Huh?
Running away from the social platforms is the wrong answer in my opinion. If we can reach just one person, we plant a seed that someone else may water, and then God grows into a new believer...another life saved from an eternity of separation from the Father. No, God doesn't send people to Hell, we chose our destination, eternity in either Heaven of Hell. So, if we can help one Veteran, LEO, Fire Fighter or EMS...or even a civilian...aren't we as believers called to do just that? If we can lead one to the Savior, our Lord Jesus Christ, aren't we as believers called to do just that?
